Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Hi! My name is Brooke and I am a non smoking mother of three beautiful young daughters. I run a babysitting business called Little Bee’s Babysitting. In addition to this, I currently work as a care practitioner, working with children in care. (From 4-17 years old). I believe I am different to other babysitters on this app, because I welcome ALL children. Whether your child has a challenging behaviour, a disability, medical needs or you have multiple children, I welcome you!! I am confident and competent to deal with aggressive and violent children. I have training in therapeutic crisis intervention, which helps prevent a child escalating. As well as holding a blue card, a yellow card (which is a disability clearance), a current first aid and CPR and police check, I also hold an LCS check. You are probably wondering what that is? Well let me explain. This is a check that is done by the Queensland government that not only checks myself and my history, it also checks every adult member of my household to ensure nobody that I associate with, has ever been investigated for abuse to children. Basically this is like a thorough and more in-depth check than your standard blue card. I am also competent in working with children who have a background of trauma and children who self harm. Prior to my current position as a care practitioner, I spent 13 years working for Queensland health as a nurse. A majority of these 13 years, was spent working as a nurse within a busy emergency department that looked after adults and paediatrics. I am experienced in working with newborns right up to older teenagers and also do overnight care. I am a non-smoker, and I do not drink alcohol. Whether you are looking for a short or long term babysitter, I would love you to give me a try, I believe I can build rapport quite quickly with children. If you have pets, I love them also! Whether they have fur, fins, or scales, I love them all. I am also not your typical babysitter, who puts my feet up after your children are asleep, I use this time to complete light duties around the home, as I believe coming home to a clean house, is an awesome feeling! Our kids loved Brooke and she did a fantastic job of looking after them. From the very first message, Brooke was professional, warm and friendly. She asked plenty of questions before the job started so that she had a very good understanding of what our kids would be like and she arrived very well prepared. Brooke took a genuine interest in the different personalities of our kids and handled them beautifully. We arrived home to a house that was even tidier than when we left it. We look forward to booking Brooke again and would definitely recommend her.
Brooke prefers a maximum number of 6 children per booking.
